Guber campaign ’ll be issues based - Dep Speaker

BENIN CITY - The Deputy Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Festus Ebea has asserted that the campaign by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the State will be issues-based, not unconnected with good governance.

Hon. Festus Ebea made the assertion yesterday in his office while playing host to members of Edo Volunteer Force for Comrade Adams Oshiomhole re-election led by their co-ordinator, Hon. Ernest Osaghae.

The lawmaker who represents Esan South-East Constituency in the state Assembly, expressed his determination to ensure that his constituency and the entire Esan land vote massively for the re-election of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

The Deputy Speaker who described members of the group as men of tested integrity and track record, expressed his appreciation over the voluntary desire of the group to partner with the citizens of the state in ensuring the re-election of the state governor, adding that the group would have drawn its inspiration from the infrastructural and developmental strides recorded by the governor.

Earlier in his address, the co-ordinator of Edo Volunteers Force for Comrade Adams Oshiomhole re-election, Hon. Ernest Osaghae said their visit to the office of the Deputy Speaker was informed by the need to intimate him on the inauguration of the group by the Chairman of Esan South-East Local Government Council and to also solicit his support in ensuring that the governor of the state is re-elected.

Hon. Ernest Osaghae asserted that “Edo State can no longer be used for experimentation”, adding that the group had already pledged its commitment in ensuring Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s re-election.
