Akoko-Edo NULGE Lauds Council Boss

IGARRA - The Transition Committee Chairman of Akoko-Edo Local Government Council, Hon. Anslem Agbabi has been commended for his dynamic leadership which has brought transformation to the council area.

The chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Akoko-Edo chapter, Comrade (Alhaji) J.J. Olumoye made the commendation during the formal handing over of a brand new Toyota Hiace Bus purchased by the local government council to the union.

The NULGE boss who described Hon. Agbabi as “ Action Chairman per Excellence,” noted that the purchase of the vehicle for the use of the union was a testimony of the workers, friendly policies enunciated by the transition committee chairman.

Responding, the council boss urged the workers to be more diligent and dedicated to their duties, assuring that more welfare packages were in the offing for them.

In another development, the transition committee chairman of Akoko-Edo local government council Hon. Anslem Agbabi has commiserated with families of accident victims of an Akoko-Edo bus, a transport outfit managed by the local government council.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the families of the victims, Hon. Agbabi remarked that the good Lord is the giver of life and the comforter of those who mourn.

He described the accident in which eight persons lost their lives, as tragic and painful and prayed that such ugly incident would never occur again.

The accident occurred when the boss enroute Lagos from Igarra ran into another oncoming bus at Ilesha Osun state recently.

The council boss was accompanied on the condolence visit by the secretary to the local government, Barr. Omo-Igie Adebayo, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Ogbekhilu and other principal officers of the council.
